The new EuroVelo Overview Map. Some things are better on paper!
Our new map gives you a printed overview of the European cycle route network and is sure to inspire your next adventure. Set at scale of 1:5,000,000, the map displays the entirety of the 90,000km long European cycle route network while providing information on the 17 distinct routes and their level of development.

What’s new?
The most noticeable change to the EuroVelo Overview Map is an improvement of the map legend. The route development categories on the printed map match those on the EuroVelo website and route planner, introduced in May 2026.
The updated legend aims to harmonise how “developed” EuroVelo routes are defined across countries, linking classifications more closely to real on-the-ground conditions. The update also makes it easier for you, as a cyclist, to navigate the 90,000+ km EuroVelo network and plan a trip that matches your needs! It’s not just about the legend, there’s more! This map makes it easy to find the right information to plan your trip and includes all of the most recent additions to the European cycle route network:
- The 537-km extension of EuroVelo 1 – Atlantic Coast Route to Galicia, in Spain, finally connecting EuroVelo 1 with EuroVelo 3 – Pilgrims Route
- The 62-km extension of EuroVelo 15 – Rhine Cycle Route to the Vorarlberg province of Austria and the Principality of Liechtenstein
- The re-routing of EuroVelo 7 – Sun Cycle Route through the Calabria Parks Cycle Route, in the south of Italy
- The EuroVelo Certification of the French section of EuroVelo 1 – Atlantic Coast Route as a high-quality cycle route and the re-certification of a major section of EuroVelo 15 – Rhine Cycle Route
- QR codes to find more information about a route or a country
- Country and route descriptions with key data and verified contacts of National EuroVelo Coordination Centres.
